Event Centre

Pezinok - Slovakia. The Competition Centre will be in the City of Modra, City Part "Harmonia" No 3019. Premises of the school named Slovenska zdravotnicka univerzita.

Participants

The European Youth Orienteering Championship is open to national teams of competitors born in 1985 or later.

Races and Classes

Sprint Race	(4 competitors per national team in each class) W 16, W 18, M 16, M 18
Long Race	(4 competitors per national team in each class) W 16, W 18, M 16, M 18
Relay Race	(3 legs / one national relay team in each class) W 16, W 18, M 16, M 18

Maps

Sprint
IOF Standard 1:4000, contour interval 2,0 m

Long
IOF Standard 1:15000, contour interval 5 m

Relay
IOF Standard 1:10000, contour interval 5 m

All maps were surveyed in 2003. Maps shall be protected against moisture and damage.

Terrain

Sprint Race - 8 km from the Competition Centre. City area. Height difference 0 meters. Long Race - 30 km from the Competition Centre. Terrain typical for the Male Karpaty Mountain area. Mixed forest easy-to-run, many paths and roads, locally steep slopes and rocks. Relay Race - 6 km from the Competition centre, forest easy-to-run, many paths and roads, mild slopes, locally rocks.

SportIdent electronic punching system will be used in all races. Please show the SportIdent Card No. in the Final Entry Form, if you want to use your own SI Cards.

Costs

Including entry fee for competitors, transport, accommodation and full-board from dinner on June 20 to lunch on June 22, € 115/ person in 2 bed hostel rooms with bathroom.

Other services (extra transport, accommodation, meal, training camp etc.) are available on request - see the extra services fees below.
